Praise Report Autumn II 2011 秋季感恩事項(二)

 I have ever been to many other countries in my life, yet I have never dreamed that I will come home again and service my mother church as a mentor this summer.

這一生我到訪過許多國家,卻未曾夢想過今年暑假會歸家,並且擔任母會的顧問牧師. 賀知章的詩可以說明我歸家前的心境[少小離家老大回,鄉音無改鬢毛催,兒童相見不相識,笑問客從何處來.]

2. Enjoy Coming Home and Service  享受歸家服事的生活

 I remembered when I received Fran's letter, my teaching leader of the BSF, mentioned about it , I thought it was impossible! Because I moved to Taipei for years after I became a Christian. In addition, I have ever been home to serviced my mother church for three to four years many years ago. I felt exhausted at that time!Therefore, I went to the Unites working on my doctoral degree. I do not think I will come back again!
記得去年收到英文查經班團契講員的來信時,她建議我要協助母會,我心想:不可能的事!因信主後沒幾年我就到台北讀神學院,此後大部份的生活和服事都在北部渡過.並且十多年前我曾回家並母會服事三四年,當時我幾乎要耗竭了!於是到了美國博士進修,自此我從未想有日會再回鍋.

Now I am living at my home town. I often stroll along the houses where my family and relatives have ever lived as well as to enjoy many memories of my early childhood emerging from my mind..現在我住在我的家鄉鹿寮,介於清水沙鹿之間,隸屬台中市沙鹿區.當我延著小時候和親戚們一起住過的房子街道漫步時,常享受許多兒時的回憶湧現心頭的時光.

One day on the way to my new office, new church in the early morning, I met my uncle. He is now ninety years old. I saw him sat down under the old tree in front of his house, he  greeted me friendly without knowing I am intending to plant a new church nearby. 
有一天清晨當我要到新的辦公室(新的教會)路途中,我遇到我的伯父許旺,他今年已經九十歲.我看見他坐在他家門口的大樹下,很親切微笑地和我打招呼.他對我打算在附近拓植一間新的教會毫無知悉.




















After I said good bye to him I saw him bowed down, he  is a religious man indeed.  My uncle was active both in politics and in local idols worship because no one introduced gospel to him. He sometimes takes a walk in the countryside. Yesterday I even saw him rod his motorcycle! I am glad he is still healthy now. Please pray that he can open his heart to Jesus and accept the LORD soon. 
在我和伯父說再見後,我回頭看見他低頭好像在禱告.伯父實在是篤信宗教的,早年是沙鹿鎮的代表,在政治和宗教都很活耀.因為從未有人向他傳福音,所以他每天都到福德祠擔任清潔志工.伯父有時會在附近鄉間散步,走路速度一點不像已經九十歲了.昨天我看見他甚至騎著他的機車出門!!!我很高興他還很健康.請為他禱告,希望他能向耶穌打開心門,很快可以信主.

 

Not only I pray spiritual revival will come to my mother church continuously, I also pray all my neighbors, families and relatives will enter into the LORD's kingdom soon.

我所禱告的就是母會能持續經驗被神復興,而我家人,鄰舍和親戚能早日進入神的國度.

Praise Report Autumn I 2011-秋季感恩事項(一)

The LORD leads me to come home this summer according to His plan. 這個暑假上帝按祂的計劃帶領我搬回老家.
1. Enjoy birds watching  享受賞鳥的生活
Because of the move that I am extremely busy but experiencing many miracle. Now I can have a bird watching life easily. Just open my window or open the door, I can watch various kind of birds fly nearby. I enjoy to watch and listen to my grand birdies, Little Ma and Little Ry, too. Whenever I see them, I miss Little Taiwan as well. At the same time they also remind me that the LORD treats me faithfully, very similar to Job.

在家鄉日子過得超忙卻很精彩,轉眼快到中秋.清晨一開窗有時會看見白鷺絲在眼前振翅飛過,昨天看見白鴿和小捲尾在家附近飛翔.今天則有燕子和紅鴿停在電線上,還有黃嘴黑鳩穿梭在河岸邊.如此每天我過著欣賞不同野鳥的生活.而我同時也享受欣賞並聆聽我的金孫鳥,小馬和小麗,悅耳的對話.每次看見牠們,就提醒我想起神如何的信實.祂使我經驗到如同約伯的賜福,雖然失去小台,但神卻加倍的賜福給我.

Peter is my nephew, the son of my eldest sister. He took care of my eldest sister day and night with his sisters. Today is his birthday. May LORD bless him, give him peace and lead his life! 
舜是我的外甥,我大姊的兒子. 近日朝夕和他的姊妹照顧病中的大姊. 今天是他的生日.願上帝賜福他,出入平安,內心安穩,並引導他的一生! 

Prayer Request I-July 2011 為家人祈福

My grand niece will be at her four years old next month. 我的孫姪女下個月將滿四歲

1.Pray For Family To Accept LORD's LOVE And Gospel 為家人祈福能蒙恩寵接受主愛和福音 

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9) I never thought about moving back to my hometown after I got my doctor's degree in US in 2002. Yet LORD thought in another perspective. He wants to bless my family, mother church and hometown through me. LORD plans to save and to lead more and more people and my family both in nature and super nature way into His kingdom. That is one of my dreams and prayer requests.

"耶和華說、我的意念、非同你們的意念、我的道路、非同你們的道路。天怎樣高過地、照樣我的道路、高過你們的道路、我的意念、高過你們的意念。" (賽55:8-9) 自2002在美完成我的博士學位後,可說從未想到回家鄉定居.但上帝卻不這麼想,祂希望能透過我賜福我的家人,母會和故鄉的人.上帝計劃要以自然及超自然雙重方式拯救並帶領更多我故鄉鄉親及家人進入祂愛子的國度.這正是我多年來心中的一個禱告和夢想.

It is the first time that I takes a picture with my sister-in-law and her grand daughter. 我和嫂嫂及她的孫女首度合照.

I took some exercises with my father on last Friday morning. I was so thankful for the first precious experience in my life.

上週五清晨首度和家父一起到附近公園運動健身. 我們倆人都很開心,我尤其為這難得的機會和經驗感恩.

5. Learn To Experience LORD And Enjoy A Lovely Reunion  學習經歷神並享受美好的重聚

過年前當我知道自己罹癌第三期不到一小時內,正走在捷運站途中,突接獲母校中華福音神學院教牧中心主任來電,邀請我擔任五月底教牧輔導研習會的主題講員回應者.藉此邀請神讓我知道祂會存留我的性命,並且還要使用我完成祂的工.

第二屆的教牧研習會距第一屆盛會已有九年之久,可說是在眾人企盼多時舉辦,共有兩百多人參加.感謝神,短短的回應引起許多人的迴響與注意,更達到凝結共識與互相交流的功能.更特別的是,韓國的電視台(CGNTV Christian Golbal Network TV)還派人專程錄影,六月底將在該網站的研習部落格播放,有興趣的網友屆時可以點閱收看.

此次的研習會與會者來自四面八方包括許多神學院師生,另有許多教會的牧長與福音機構的負責人與核心同工參加.站在我左手邊這一位是士林忠勇循理會主任牧師的師母,高中時參加我母會的學生團契,如今在研習會意外重逢倆人都很開心.

上面站在我右邊這位是我2002年完成教牧博士返美在道生神學院任教時的學生,也是多年未見.當我到衛理神學院進修教牧輔導哲學博士時,這學生也從道生轉到衛神.儘管多所學校人事變遷急遽,但感謝神讓我們師生情誼卻仍持續.

最後這位是我1989年入華神讀道碩時的同窗,倆人自1992年畢業後各在不同崗位服事神至今.感謝神,讓我有機會和許多二十年沒相聚的同學們能在教牧研習會享受美好重聚.

4. Learn To Eat Nature Food And Enjoy Cooking  學習吃天然食物享受烹飪

我的學生大多手藝很好,有些一次能煮給好幾桌的客人吃.當我想向他們學習時,總得到[老師不需要學煮菜]這樣的答覆.哈哈!不過,如何煎魚不沾鍋,就是向我學生學來的.上帝的看法和學生有別.所以生病後,今年夏天我開始學習吃天然食物並享受烹飪.其實離享受還很遙遠,因為老覺得太費時和麻煩而且煮得不怎麼好吃.總之,在這方面我要學習的還很多.但無論如何要生存就得吃食物,以下展示的就是我的成果.

My students always told me it was not necessary for me to learn cooking before. However, our LORD has different opinion. This summer I start to learn how to eat nature food and cook for myself happily. There is a long road to run.

3. Learn To Let Go Of The Old Way And Enjoy The New  學習放手享受新的人生
耶和華是應當稱頌的,因為他在堅固城裡向我施展奇妙的慈愛.(詩31:21) 2011年最令我跌破眼鏡的是,至今沒有一個日子是按我計劃過的. 原來神要我學習放手,享受新的人生.幾乎每隔幾天,甚至每天都是在[哇塞!原來是這樣子!]的驚奇中渡過的.

感謝神,春節我返鄉過清明節回家休養,今年有機會和家人相聚並且一起掃墓,將母親的墓園好好修整.而母會清水教會同工會則決議,要聘請我擔任終身職的顧問牧師.同時我也終於將過去多年來講道的錄音帶放到部落格分享網友(服事這是主題式),這是十五二十年來未能完成的事.(研究 這是經文式)沒想到在罹癌不到三個月內,神就使這事這樣奇妙的成就.雖然送去轉錄成MP3檔案花了不少銀子,但能使更多人認識神生命得以轉化是非常值得的.

復活節前氣溫高蚊子開始傾巢而出,研究的結果似乎以兒時的蚊帳防蚊是最環保.從此我開始過[帳棚式的生活],因為蚊帳是帳棚外型.隔著一層帳棚生活雖有些不點,但的確是環保防蚊.同時也不時提醒著我,在世上是寄居者,不可過渡眷戀,需將主權交給上帝.

母親節收到學生送的感恩與康乃馨很溫馨,使從小立志要做賢妻良母的我稍感安慰.適逢友人生日,禮拜後就在木柵動物園貓空茶園很開心的氣氛與美好的天氣下渡過.感謝神讓我沾了壽星的福,有機會體驗特別的纜車車廂,從腳下欣賞大自然及動物園.

2. Learn And 'Be Blessed' In the BSF  在英文查經團契中學習與被祝福
Isaiah 45:3 The LORD promises: "I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places..."  The BSF is one of secret places where I find treasures and riches which the LORD prepares for me in recent years.

I want to give a lot of thanks to our teaching leaders, group leaders and each one who cares and prays for my health. Because of your faithful prayer and cry out to our LORD day and night, he responds it and grants me a great favor. He reverses the third stage of my thyroid cancer into the first stage and gives me a quick recovery, so that I become stronger and healthy now. The intention of the Satan is to destroy and to kill me, yet our LORD's will is to heal, to discipline and make me wholle through illness.

Through participating in BSF's diverse and brilliant group discussion and the devotional A.S.K. helped me to experience God's extraordinary love more than before. More and More I enjoy to be his VIP, to become His bride and belong to him thoroughly. 

As to BSF's seminar about biblical hermeneutics has impacted the methodology of my teaching courses, preparing lectures, and my perspective of interpreting and dealing with church's affairs.

I never think about how to be ready for the eternal destiny until last week. It enables me not only to connect the purpose and relationship between God's words and my daily life, but also strengthen me and give me hope to face the evil spiritual darkness and severe life challenges.

The most significant lesson I have learned and applied from my BSF study of Isaiah this year is to know and to trust God's plan, salvation and authority both in my life and nations. It renews my world view and transforms my value system from the above, so I can be satisfied, feel secure ad face tomorrow as well as to life honestly in his holy presence.

Whenever I ponder the principle that God wants all men to be saved and he communicates his salvation through his words. It alters my prayer, sermons and my behavior. It motivates me to take care of non-believers more, including my family, neighbors and new visitors in my church.

I especially appreciate the new page of hybrid group and the extension of our children program. What amazing answer the LORD let me see ! It is by our LORD that our leader team can accept the calling and difficult challenges. It nurtures and cultivates our next and grand generations! God is so awesome, I believe he will grants us a happy ending and a hopeful future. Praise our Almighty LORD! Amen!
